Azmeri Spirits Farming Guide – PoE 2 Patch 0.5.5
Azmeri Spirits are one of the most rewarding mechanics in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5. Understanding how Spirits interact with monsters can help you maximize loot and efficiently farm valuable rewards such as Golden Charms and Right of Passage.
Azmeri Spirit Types
There are four main types of Azmeri Spirits:
- Wild Wisps
– Purple - Vivid Wisps
– Yellow - Primal Wisps
– Blue - Sacred Wisps
– Orange
Each Spirit provides different bonuses to possessed monsters. Multiple Spirits can also stack their effects, increasing both monster power and potential rewards.
How Spirit Empowerment Works
The more Spirits that possess a monster, the stronger it becomes. Highly empowered monsters can reach 300% empowerment, making them extremely dangerous.
This creates an important balance between risk and reward. Before pushing Spirit farming to its limit, make sure your build has enough damage, defenses, and recovery to handle heavily empowered monsters.

Patch 0.5.5 makes Strongboxes 
particularly interesting for Spirit farming 
The strategy is simple:
More Strongboxes → More Monsters 
→ More Spirit Possessions → More Loot 
Spirits can interact with monsters spawned from Strongboxes, allowing players to create large groups of highly empowered enemies and significantly increase their farming potential.
For the best results, combine Strongboxes with:
- Full Atlas Passives
- Delirium
- Optimized Tablets
- 8-mod Waystones

Avoid These Atlas Passives When Farming Wisps
Do not take these Atlas passives if you are farming Wisps:
- Worthy Hunter – Azmeri Spirits may become the Sacred Cunning Fox
- Unseen Rivers – Skip this passive for this strategy
How to Run Spirit + Strongbox Maps
Your main objective is to find an orange Sacred Spirit on the map.
If you find a Hare Spirit, try to maximize its effect by using:
- Omen of Secret Compartments
- Omen of the Hunt
- Cryptic Keys
The goal is to multiply the Hare Spirit inside the Strongbox as much as possible.
If there is no orange Sacred Spirit on the map, simply skip the map and move on. Don't waste time running a map that doesn't have the Spirit you need.
