[0.5.5] Twister Leveling Guide – A Build for Every Class
The Mini League starts on September 5th, so I’d like to share a leveling build for all the newbies out there: Twister Leveling

Why Twister?

There are several reasons why I highly recommend Twister as a leveling setup:

  • Works with every class ✅
  • Easy to play and very forgiving
  • Excellent damage scaling for the amount of currency invested
  • Can start farming immediately after reaching the endgame
  • Very smooth and cost-efficient upgrade progression (high P/P)

Starting Setup

When you enter the game, start by creating a Huntress character. This gives you access to the starting gear, including a Spear, as well as the Whirling Slash and Twister skill gems.

Once you have them:

  1. Remove the gear and skill gems from your character
  2. Put them into your stash 📦
  3. Log out and create the class you actually want to play ✅

This allows you to use the Huntress starting setup regardless of which class you ultimately choose.

Basic Attack Combo

For regular mapping, the basic combo is:

3x Whirling Slash → 1x Twister

You can also aim your Twister so that it bounces back from a wall and hits the target again. Learning to position your Twister this way can significantly improve your overall damage output.

For bosses, add Barrage before starting your normal combo.

Passive Tree

If you're starting with a class that isn't on the Huntress's Dexterity side of the passive tree, you will need to path toward nodes that provide a good amount of Projectile Damage and Attack Damage along the way.

You don't need to follow the passive tree 100% by the book. The goal during leveling is simply to pick up efficient damage and survivability nodes while progressing toward your main build.

Gear Priorities

During leveling, prioritize the following stats:

  • Flat Damage: Physical / Cold / Fire / Lightning
  • +Projectile Skills
  • Elemental Resistances
  • Life
  • Evasion
  • Movement Speed

Once you reach around level 20, you should already have a small amount of basic currency. You can use Exalted Orbs to start upgrading your gear.

At this point, head to the trade site and look for:

  • A Spear with the highest DPS possible
  • A pair of Rings with high amounts of flat damage

These upgrades are usually very efficient for the amount of currency spent.

Endgame Weapon Sets

Once you reach the endgame, you can further optimize the build by using two Weapon Sets.

Weapon Set 1 – Attack Speed

Use this weapon set for Attack Speed and keep Whirling Slash at a lower level.

The main purpose of this setup is to make Whirling Slash fast and smooth while keeping its mana cost low.

Weapon Set 2 – Maximum Twister Damage

Use this weapon set for stats that increase your overall Attack Damage and Projectile Damage.

This setup is designed to maximize the damage of Twister.

By switching between the two weapon sets, you can optimize both the speed and damage of the build
